The Role

As a business we aim to set the benchmark for supply into the construction and concrete industries and to ensure that our sales team, more importantly are focussed on the needs of our customers.  Highly motivated with a progressive attitude to drive that benchmark and further success into the business, you will be tasked with leading, developing and a team of sales professionals in this highly competitive market.

The primary focus for the State Sales Manager will be to lead a team of 7 Account Executives to drive and exceed sales and profit targets. Passionate and driven, you will foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team that seeks to challenge existing ways of thinking and ensure a cohesive team environment. Your insights and recommendations will help facilitate the commercial decision making and initiatives across a number of segments, so it is essential that you are able to engage and work constructively with key stakeholders at all levels.

With a proven track record of driving sustainable sales growth within a similar industry, you will leverage your strong functional experience, commercial acumen and leadership capability to identify and realise profitable opportunities for the business and your team.

Essential Criteria

You will have strong communication and influencing skills, be analytically minded with the ability to deal with a range of stakeholders. Your energy, commercially astute nature and enthusiasm will enable your success.  Ideally you will also possess;

  • Proven strong people management & coaching skills, preferably in a sales management role
  • Knowledge and experience of the Building and Construction sector
  • Proven ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels
  • High level of communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Office/SAP and CRM systems)
  • Tertiary qualification in business or related discipline
