Reporting to the State Sales Manager – Vic / Tas, you will be responsible for developing profitable growth of sales in the retail hardware sector through exceptional account management and identification of growth opportunities. You will identify and develop sales opportunities as well fostering positive relationships with key retail customers at a variety of levels in the eastern suburbs. You will manage a range of hardware customers including big box retailers, independent retailers and paint specialists. Critical to success will be your ability to drive positive business outcomes at store level to ensure profitable sales growth. This will include securing off location promotions; driving effective product ranging; indirect management of merchandisers; and ensuring store based sales teams are product advocates.
The successful candidate will be able to point to a proven track record in account management and new business development. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to proactively manage a territory independently whilst working in a high performing and supportive team environment. A previous role will enable you to prove how you have utilized a disciplined sales approach and successfully grown a customer portfolio. Previous direct involvement with hardware retailers would be highly regarded, however candidates with a background in consumer or retail products are encouraged to apply.
