Selleys Trade markets a range of high performing adhesives, sealants and coatings for a variety of specialist construction applications. Its products are sold directly to manufacturers and to professional trades via specialist re-sellers.
Reporting to the Business Manager Trade, this role will take full responsibility for managing an existing product portfolio and driving new product initiatives in the Australian and New Zealand region. You will lead new product development in order to deliver significant business growth targets. Working closely with a wide range of key internal stakeholders such as the sales and innovation teams, you will be responsible for managing some of the highest priority new product initiatives.
Commercial success will be achieved by managing both existing ranges and bringing new products to market via a disciplined stage gate process but with a sense of urgency. Critical to your success in this role will be your ability to use your commercial acumen, technical aptitude and advanced product management skills to drive ambitious and achievable commercial outcomes. You will achieve new market development via new & existing customers, specifiers and influencers. Also critical to success will be your ability to engage and foster positive relationships with key direct customers as well as distributors and resellers.
Preferably tertiary qualified in marketing, and with a proven track record managing organic product portfolio growth, you will also be able to demonstrate how you have successfully launched new technically oriented building or engineered productsto market via disciplined business processes.
You will also possess:
- Experience developing and executing formal marketing plans
- Effective project management experience
- The ability to clearly articulate go to market / sales execution plans
- Be a natural problem solver who thinks laterally
- Ability to work effectively with cross functional teams to deliver marketing initiatives.
You will have strong business to business channel experience, and ideally knowledge of manufacturing and sourcing. Previous experience in the building, industrial, engineering, or similar trade oriented sectors will be highly regarded.
